Goppelt, Leonhard. Typos. Die typologische Deutung des Alten Testaments im Neuen. Darmstadt, 1981.
- Typos: The Typological Interpretation of the Old Testament in the New. Trans. Madvig, Donald H. Grand Rapids, Michigan: Eerdmans,
1982. 286 pp. Now available from Wipf and Stock Publishers, 2002.

Goppelt’s book is the standard treatment originally published in 1939. Goppelt laid the foundation for all later research into this topic and should be carefully studied, as it is one of the most important studies to the relationship between OT and NT. Goppelt’s Typos deals only very briefly with Revelation, though.
